Steve Chapman
About
Steve's first experience as a Head Coach was at Tulsa University where he led the men's team. At TU, as a player he was twice named to the Missouri Valley All Conference Team. Steve turned professional in 1982 and spent the next 11 years playing the Australian, Asian and Canadian tours.
On tour his highlights include 15 top 10's, 10 top 5's, 3 runner ups, 5 Canadian Open
appearances, making the cut in 1986 and competing in the 1988 U.S. Open at The CountryClub in Boston. His career low score is 58 that is the second lowest score ever shot on a minor tour.
While coaching full time for the past 30 years, Steve won the Ontario P.G.A. Championship twice and the Canadian Assistant's Championship.
He has served as Director of Instruction for Core Golf Academy in Canada and for 10 years was a volunteer Head Coach for the Mississauga Special Olympics. Steve's most recent International position was in Turkey where he served as the Head Coach for the Men's and Women's National Teams.
Steve currently resides in Jinan China and Is the Head Coach at The Monterey International Academy. His current responsibilities include training Juniors, Adults and the Professional Teaching Staff at the Academy.
