From 1998 to 2016, I served as Director of Golf at both the Langara and McCleery golf courses in Vancouver. In 1998 I established the McCleery Golf Academy, with the assistance of Mike Vanderwolf, which has been very successful in offering high quality instruction to several thousand juniors and adults over the past 22 years.
In 1999 I founded the “Inner City Youth Golf Program”, which operates out of the McCleery Golf Academy and offers golf camps, free of charge, to underprivileged children living in the Downtown Eastside, one of Canada’s poorest neighbourhoods. This program has been running for the past 21 years and is funded completely by private donations. More than 1300 children have participated in this program.
