Bryce Halverson
About
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Bryce grew up loving all sports and was never afraid to get involved with any athletics he could. Not unlike a large majority of Canadians, Bryce’s main focus growing up was hockey, but after coming home from playing, he decided to enroll at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in pursuit of a degree in Business Administration.
At the same time, Bryce found a job working in the Pro Shop at Harvest Hills Golf Course. After enjoying a summer of working in golf he was hooked, and the following year he took a job working as a Golf Shop Assistant at the Calgary Elks Lodge & Golf Club. Bryce continued to work at the Winston Golf Club (formally known as the Calgary Elks) until the end of 2019, until taking a position at Valley Ridge Golf Club. to work alongside Chris Paskin and Stephen Yanitski.
Bryce thoroughly enjoyed his time at Valley Ridge, along with the team and atmosphere, but after meeting Dean Ingalls through the PGA of Alberta Mentorship Program, he decided to take a position as the Head Associate Golf Professional at Carnmoney Golf Club, where he still currently works today. A lifelong learner, Bryce completed a Master of Science in Sports Management in 2024, and continues his pursuit to become a Head Golf Professional and a leader within our Association.
