Chris Cooke
About
Chris grew up roaming the grounds of the Canmore Golf & Curling Club from the day he could walk. With his dad Darren running the club as the Head professional and currently the Director of Golf since 1989, Chris has grown up in the golf industry. Living in the Rocky Mountains meant golf wasn't necessarily the primary activity in the area but would develop into a great passion for Chris. After having a successful junior career, Chris made the decision to commit to the University of Central Arkansas where he played four years for golf team and ultimately finished with a BBA degree in finance.
After University Chris made the decision to return home to the Rocky Mountains where he began his journey as a PGA of Canada professional. Spending his first two seasons as a professional at the Canmore G&CC, Chris was fortunate enough to join the team as an assistant professional for the 2018 reopening of the Kananaskis Country Golf Courses after the devastating flood in 2013.
Chris completed two seasons 2018-2019 at the Kananaskis Country golf course as the golf shop manager/apprentice professional. February 2020 Chris took on the Head Professional role at the Silvertip Resort in his hometown of Canmore, Alberta.
