About
I started playing golf at an early age, all thanks to my Dad. Before High School I attended a Summer Jr. Golf Camp. The Camp ran all Summer, two weeks at a time and I was enrolled for a July and August sessions. This established my love for the game. After 5 summers of attending camp I became a Camp Counsellor/Golf Instructor for the next 5 years finishing High School and into University. The Counsellors had to memorize Golf Instruction which covered Golf Fundamentals and Swing Mechanics which was given out prior to Camp. I started my Golf Swing Analysis at the age of 15.
My PGA of Canada career started at The Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto. I had just completed my Postgraduate Degree from Humber College in Professional Golf Management after attending Brock University for Sports Management. After a year at the Ladies’ Golf Club, I accepted a position in Ottawa, at The Meadows Golf and Country Club where I spent the next 5 years. I achieved my Class ‘A’ status in 2009 while working at the Meadows. The Meadows is a great Club and it was tough to leave but I accepted a new position at The Camelot Golf and Country Club. During the Winters I worked at the Ottawa Athletic Club’s (O.A.C) Winter Golf School for a span of 7 years. While at Camelot my first son was born which changed my life and perspective. At that time I started my own Golf Instruction Business at a family run Driving Range and took a step away from being a Club Professional. This gave me the flexibility to spend time with my two boys and focus on Golf Instruction. I was able to expand my lesson clientele/business while enjoying my new, young and loving family.
For the last two seasons I have returned to The Meadows Golf and Country Club as the Head Teaching Professional, with tremendous support and success. I am also fortunate to spend the Winters at Condor Golf Bar continuing to teach and share my love for the game. As well as being involved with SwingFit’s Winter Golf School giving Instruction and Coaching.
Golf is a Sport we can play over a lifetime and I have always taken pride while sharing it with others. It was in the early years that I developed and built valuable lesson techniques and terminology. Through my summers and winters spent teaching I have come to trust my ability to analyse and critique any golf swing from beginner to advance.
