Matt Seifert
About
Matt was born and raised in the great city of Calgary. Started playing Golf at the age of 13 after Tiger won the Masters in 1997. He began my career at Fox Hollow as a junior worker performing golf service duties in exchange for golf. His family moved to Linden, AB (town of 500 people) in 1998 and Matt joined the Acme Golf Club.
2002-2004 - 3 years at Priddis Greens as a Golf Service Supervisor with the team achieving Score Golf Magazine Golf Medal for Service.
2005 -Matt Graduated from the Professional Golf Management Program at Lethbridge College
2005-2008 - Wintergreen G&CC in which time he became a PGA of Alberta member after passing my PAT.
He attempted to pursue playing Golf professionally and played Mini Tour's in California and Arizona from 2006 to 2010. Those guys were good... To compliment the time down south he also started Golf Hosting in 2006 in Southern California including Vintage and Stone Eagle Golf Clubs until 2010.
2007-2008 - Matt had the pleasure to work at Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand in for a season which is ranked in the top 50 in the world as well as Cape Kidnappers. He travelled Australia during his time there including Royal Sydney.
2013-2020 - He then spent 8 Seasons at the Earl Grey Golf Club as an Associate Professional from where he obtained my Class "A". Running many Programs from Ladies League to Men's Night as well as assisting in the Junior Program.
Matt is currently working on the "Grow the Game of Golf" RV TOUR - Alberta Chapter. Travelling the province of Alberta visiting the small town golf clubs that do not have a PGA Member employed at the facility. Offering Instruction to Juniors, Members and well as consulting. In 2024 he Drove to most Northern Alberta Golf Courses, driving over 3000 km to teach over 200 kids. Putting on over 12,000 km over the last 4 years, teaching over 1200 Junior Golfers to date across the province of Alberta.
