Jeff MacDonald
About
Jeff joined the PGA of Canada in 1997while working at his home club in Chester, Nova Scotia as an assistant professional. He is a Professional Golf Management graduate from Grant MacEwan University. He worked as an assistant professional at Raven Crest Golf and Country Club in Edmonton, AB for two years before moving to The Royal Montreal Golf Club where he would spend 10 seasons. During his time there, Jeff won the 2002 Quebec Assistant Championship and was named player of the year. He became the Director of Instruction in 2007. At that time, he began working with accomplished amateur and professional players. In 2011, Jeff returned home to Nova Scotia to take the Director of Instruction position at Ashburn Golf Club. A few years later, he was named as the Nova Scotia Golf Associations Head Coach. He had helped guide many players to NCAA golf scholarships and has had one player make the National Junior Development Team. In 2018, Jeff had the opportunity to travel to Japan as an assistant coach at the World Junior Team Championship. Jeff has been a three time winner of both coach and teacher of the year for PGA Atlantic Canada.
