“adidas Golf Canada has been a great partner of the Association and PGA Professionals for many years and we are thrilled to have them involved in such an important program for the PGA of Canada and the industry,” said PGA of Canada President Teejay Alderdice. “One of the main goals of the program is to elevate the gifting component at the regional and local levels to reward so many more participants along the journey and this partnership is the biggest step in making that happen.” As part of the agreement, golfers can anticipate enhanced prizing and benefits at each stage of the competition, including more teams being rewarded than ever before for their play at the local stage in addition to all 12,000 players receiving promo codes for www.adidas.ca. All 1,200 players who qualify for a regional final will receive top of the line adidas footwear and a number of custom adidas apparel pieces. There will also be a few special surprises for those that make it to, or win, the National Final. “We are so pleased to join in this partnership with the RBC PGA Scramble. Our brand’s goal is to connect with both the amateur and professional golfer in a more meaningful way. This partnership will allow our products to be highlighted and featured for the participating players and professionals,” said Jeff Feltrin, GM of adidas Golf Canada. “The PGA of Canada, RBC and all the program partners should be very proud of what they’ve created with this program and we are thrilled to become a major part of it.” The RBC PGA Scramble is Canada’s largest series of national golf events designed for amateurs of all playing abilities and PGA of Canada professionals looking to participate in a fun and equitable competition. Now in its 7th year, over 12,000 golfers are anticipated to play in over 150 local qualifying events nationwide, with hopes of advancing from the local to the regional stage, and ultimately on to the National Final at Cabot Links from October 1stto 5th, 2022.
