PGA of Canada Announces 2024 Championship Schedule

Seniors’ Championship presented by GOLFTEC heading to Bromont, QC, while Assistants’ Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf heading to Langley, BC

The PGA of Canada is excited to announce its 2024 national championship schedule, which will feature events in four provinces from June-September, while the to-be-announced Head Professional Championship of Canada is expected to once again be scheduled in November or early December.   Announced earlier this year, the season will begin in Calgary, AB at Mickelson National for the PGA Championship of Canada, June 9-12. A few weeks later, the top female professional and amateur players in the country will head to TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley July 2-5 for the ORORO PGA Women’s Championship of Canada, where exemption spots into the CPKC Women’s Open will be on the line.    Just announced today, the PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada presented by GOLFTEC is heading back to Parcours du Vieux Village in Bromont, QC, July 29-August 1. Vieux Village previously hosted the Seniors’ Championship of Canada in 2021, when Dennis Hendershott fired a final-round 64 to win by one stroke over Danny King.   The PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf was also announced today, being scheduled for September 11-14 at Redwoods Golf Club in Langley, BC. The event heads to Canada’s western-most province for the first time since 2017, when Marc-Étienne Bussieres won by one stroke over Sonny Michaud at Richmond Country Club.   The 2023 season saw five players from three provinces win events – Kevin Stinson (BC) at the PGA Championship of Canada, Alena Sharp (ON) at the ORORO PGA Women’s Championship of Canada, Alan McLean (ON) at the PGA Seniors Championship of Canada presented by GOLFTEC, Yohann Benson (QC) at the PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf and James Skrypec (ON) at the PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf.   Women are eligible and encouraged to compete in all National Championships and will play at a course length shorter than the men’s yardage.  “I speak for our entire championships team when I express how excited we are for this coming season,” said PGA of Canada Championships Manager Matt Mueller. “We are so grateful to have such phenomenal hosts for our events, and we are very pleased to be able spread our championships out across the country.” Registration for the championships open on April 1. Refer to the events page on PGAofCanada.com to register. Contact PGA of Canada Championship Manager Matt Mueller via email at matt.m@pgaofcanada.com for more information.  For more information, contact: Brendan Stasiewich Managing Director of Digital Content & Communications PGA of Canada 403-512-4625 brendan@pgaofcanada.com
