NCCP workshops cancelled for the remainder of 2020
After careful consideration and as a precautionary health and safety measure during COVID-19, the PGA of Canada has made the difficult decision to cancel all in-person National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) workshops for the remainder of 2020. This notice also extends to the Coach of Developing Competitors workshop typically conducted in January following the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla.
The PGA of Canada is recognized globally for its industry-leading practical training. We consulted with the Coaching Association of Canada and other national sport organizations under the NCCP umbrella to explore all possible options—including online learning—prior to arriving at this decision.
While we have transitioned two of our NCCP workshops to a blended learning format (a combination of in-person and online training), we believe maintaining a hands-on instructional component is critical to the overall learning experience for members.
The PGA of Canada will continue to monitor COVID-19 developments across the country and advise of plans for reinstating NCCP workshops when travel restrictions lessen and it becomes safe and responsible to conduct face-to-face sessions again. Additional NCCP workshops will be added to the 2021 schedule to ensure ample registration opportunities are available.
If you are a first-year Apprentice Professional:
If you were required to complete Instructor of Beginner Golfers prior to 2020 and...

There remains a wide range of courses available through the PGA of Canada Training Academy presented by Titleist & FootJoy.
