Taking the Tradition into the Future
Over 95 years of dedication to the game of golf! Welcome to the new face of the Canadian PGA who since 1911, has been dedicated to the business and the tradition of golf. Now, in 2007 we are continuing to celebrate our Members and the game with renewed passion, innovation and leading edge technology.
Our new bilingual website featuring custom built, web-based content and member management systems provides visitors of the website quick access to news articles, feature stories, special programs, tournament highlights and profiles of our Canadian PGA members.
“We’re proud to launch this new website and member management system,” says Steve Carroll, Executive Director of the Canadian PGA. “The enhanced site will increase the public’s awareness of the Association, our Members and the valuable services they provide.”
The new website was developed and designed by Lucidia Studios Ltd. of Sault Ste Marie, ON. “We needed to build a website that reflected the Canadian PGA and its deep passion for the game. They are a progressive, innovative Association leveraging technology to solve today’s business challenges. The CPGA has invested not only in their business, but directly in their Members.” claims Teresa Martone, Client Strategist at Lucidia. “This is the new face of the Canadian PGA, no fluff, smartly designed, and delivering value to their Membership.
Members can take advantage of many features such as one-click registration for tournaments, educational programs, on-line dues payment, retrieve historical data and manage their own personal data securely online. The member management system provides effective tools to communicate directly with Members in a timely fashion. A searchable database of Canadian PGA Members also allows industry professionals to locate and contact Canadian PGA Members to arrange such services as lessons, club fittings, and consultations. With the new search function, visitors to the site can find a Canadian PGA Professional or a course to play in their region, at the click of a button.
“This makes many things easier for Members, and even better, it allows the Canadian PGA to focus on the business of golf, building partnerships and developing programs for the members and less on clerical duties” says Teresa Martone.
Steve Carroll agrees. “The Canadian PGA has been a leader in the North American golf industry for more than 95 years,” says Carroll. “This modern site continues our mandate of providing strong service to our Members and educational tools for the public that will help grow the game in Canada.”
The majority of the content on the site has been provided by Canadian Golf Professionals, ensuring that Members will enjoy high-quality and reliable insights into the world of golf. Bryn Parry, Canadian PGA and Nationwide Tour Member, will offer first hand insight to life as a golf tour professional with his weekly blog of his rookie year.
The new site represents the words, the thoughts and the policies of people who revere the game of golf, its history and its traditions. This is a place where those traditions will be taken into the future for a new generation of golf professionals.
