Professional Development for Special Olympics Golf Coaches
The PGA of Canada, in partnership with Special Olympics Canada, reminds all Special Olympics Golf Coaches of a unique professional development opportunity.
This professional development piece—aimed at Special Olympics golf coaches who have completed training in the Special Olympics golf coach context—provides ongoing support in developing his or her coaching skills specific to golf.
Provided with access to a portal on the PGA of Canada’s website, coaches will be able to view voiced-over videos by PGA of Canada professionals. The videos will provide feedback on Special Olympics athletes performing different skills in golf including; full swing, chipping, putting and more. Furthermore, videos will be available on a variety of different viewing angles—as well as athletes at different stages of the Long Term Player Development pathway for Special Olympics Canada.
