Morgan Court Steps Away

Morgan Court has decided to step away from her role as managing director of education at the PGA of Canada to focus on curling and completing her Masters of Education in Distance Education.

“It was a difficult decision, but with all the travel and training time with being a curler, it seemed like the right decision,” Court said. “Our team has a busy schedule this year with some Grand Slam events, Canadian events and a couple international events as well. We’re also looking ahead to qualification for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts and the Olympic Trials in 2017.”

The Guelph, Ont., native will also stay involved with the PGA of Canada as an education advisor, working on various projects for the organization.

“A big project is working on the data and next steps from the Roles & Responsibilities research we conducted this past spring,” Court said. “We want to share the information with the membership and strategize what implications it has on other programs and education the PGA of Canada offers.

Court began with the PGA of Canada’s education department in 2010 and held the role of managing director from 2013-2016.

“I want to thank all the members, partners and staff I’ve been lucky enough to work with over the last six years,” Court said. “It’s been an exciting and challenging time in my life and I’m so glad to be staying involved.”
