Maple Downs and Banff Springs Host Mr. Lube Tournament for Life Pro-Ams

Maple Downs Golf & Country Club and the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Club will play host to the Mr. Lube Tournament for Life Pro-Ams this June and July.

The annual events, which support Prostate Cancer Canada, takes place on the morning of Monday, June 6th at Maple Downs G&CC and the morning of Monday, July 18th at the Fairmont Banff Springs GC.

“Mr. Lube is strongly committed to helping advance the work of Prostate Cancer Canada and our continued partnership with the PGA of Canada, together with presenting sponsor, Mobil Lubricants, will provide an incredible experience for our guests at both Maple Downs and Banff Springs,” said Mr. Lube Canada President & CEO Stuart Suls.

A PGA of Canada professional will accompany each group in the Mr. Lube Tournament for Life Pro-Am, while every participant will receive an impressive gift pack from TaylorMade-adidas Golf.

Situated in the scenic Oak Ridges Moraine in the north end of Greater Metropolitan Toronto, Maple Downs is one of the most picturesque and memorable golf experiences in Southern Ontario. With the help of renowned golf course architect Ian Andrew, the course has been updated with master plan projects and environmental initiatives to keep current with the ever-changing golf market place and technology.

Stanley Thompson, Canada's master golf course architect, used his expert talent when he designed the original 18 holes at Banff Springs in 1928. The course winds along the Bow River under the snow-capped peaks of Sulphur Mountain and Mount Rundle. Located in the heart of Banff National Park, the world famous Fairmont Banff Springs hotel stands as a landmark and backdrop to the golf course.

The Fairmont Banff Springs is currently ranked No. 6 on SCOREGolf’s Top 100 Golf Courses in Canada list, while Maple Downs is ranked 59th.
