Ken Tarling Enters Ontario Golf Hall of Fame

PGA of Canada member Ken Tarling will be inducted into the Ontario Golf Hall of Fame on May 3.

The 58-year-old from Sandford, Ont., is a two-time PGA of Canada national championship winner, capturing the 2001 PGA Club Professional Championship of Canada and the 2011 PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada.

A PGA of Canada member for 35-years, Tarling is also a former PGA of Canada National Board of Directors’ member and an honorary member of the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada.

In addition to his two PGA of Canada national championships, Tarling is a winner on the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada, Australian Tour, Australian Legends Tour, European Seniors’ Tour (Qualifying School) and the PGA of Canada – Ontario Zone.

Tarling will enter the hall in the professional golfer category. James Fraser, Thomas McBroom and Stacey (West) Mahoney will also enter the Ontario Golf Hall of Fame on May 3. Ian Hutchison will receive the Lorne Rubenstein Award, which is presented annually to a member of the Ontario golf media for his or her major contributions to golf.

The official induction ceremony takes place on May 3 at Wooden Sticks Golf Club in Uxbridge, Ont.
