Canadian PGA Office Promotes Staff to Better Serve Members
(ACTON, ONTARIO) January 11, 2011: The National Office of the Canadian PGA has been a busy place in this the first few weeks of 2011. The staff has grown and two staff members have received promotions.
In June of 2010, Morgan Court joined the Canadian PGA as the Education Administrator. Morgan’s primary responsibilities included the planning and logistics of the Teaching and Coaching Certification program schedule, and supporting the development of the new National Coaching Certification Program contexts.
In her new role as Education Coordinator, Morgan will play a more involved role in specific projects, including partnerships with the National Golf Course Owners’ Association and Special Olympics Canada, and the development of new education offerings for Canadian PGA members. Morgan will work closely with Craig Watson, Managing Director of Education & Program Development.
“I am excited about the change in responsibilities I will take on as Education Coordinator. I am also looking forward to working with and providing more programming opportunities to our members”, said Court in response to her new appointment.
In addition to Morgan’s promotion Heather Bodden has joined the Canadian PGA
team on a full-time basis as Member and Operations Support Coordinator. Heather’s role has been expanded and she is now responsible for assisting with Finance, Tournaments, Communications and Membership.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to build relationships with our members and assisting staff in day to day office operations”, said Bodden.
“The Canadian PGA is growing and changing to meet the needs and demands of our membership,” said Executive Director Gary Bernard. “This is a big year for us, in addition to celebrating our 100th anniversary; I feel these promotions reiterate our commitment to supporting the entire membership base in Living a Better Life and Earning a Better Living. I am pleased to have both Morgan and Heather as part of our team, they have both excelled and brought value to our membership and I know they will continue to do so.”
