Canadian PGA Names Morgan Court as Education Administrator

(Acton, ON) June 2nd, 2010 – The Canadian PGA is pleased to announce that Morgan Court of Toronto, ON will join the Association in the role of Education Administrator.

“I am thrilled to be a part of such a great National Association that is on the verge of celebrating its 100th Anniversary in 2011,” said Court. “I know that the Canadian PGA Education Program is considered one of the best in the world and I will do everything I can to deliver on those expectations.”

In accepting the position, Morgan leaves her post as the Volunteer Coordinator for Special Olympics Canada. She gained a wealth of experience that will serve her well at the Canadian PGA that included developing volunteer orientation and recruitment resources, working with stakeholders to ensure resource content supports Special Olympics Canada strategic goals and establishing new tactics and tools that provide the chapters with new and enhanced methods for recruiting and orienting volunteers.

“The Canadian PGA is excited to welcome Morgan Court to our National Office team,”said Gary Bernard, Executive Director of the Canadian PGA. “Having worked with a couple of our key partners in her career, Morgan will hit the ground running and our Canadian PGA Members will benefit from her enthusiasm and knowledge in this key area.”

Morgan has a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Applied Human Sciences from the University of Guelph and a Sport & Event Marketing Certificate in the post graduate program from George Brown College. She is no stranger to the golf industry, having worked as a CN Canadian Women’s Open Intern in 2009 with Golf Canada, a proud partner of the Canadian PGA.

In addition, Morgan’s resume boasts significant experience in the sports arena that includes: Group Sales & Marketing with the London Knights Hockey Club, Game Day Operations for the University of Guelph Athletics Department, and Right to Play Volunteering for the Toronto FC.

Major areas of focus for Morgan will include contribution to the long term viability and success of Canadian PGA continuing education, contributing to the continual improvement and success of the Canadian PGA education offerings and the managing of operations for the Canadian PGA National Education schedule.
