Canadian PGA Announces TrackMan as a National Education Partner
(Acton, ON) July 14, 2010 – The Canadian PGA is pleased to announce that TrackMan has joined the Canadian PGA National Education Program as a partner under a three-year agreement.
TrackMan, the company that develops, manufactures, and sells 3D ball flight measurement technology used in a variety of sports around the world, will provide Canadian PGA Members and National Office Staff with critical information to analyze the golf swing and resulting ball flight.
“The Canadian PGA is extremely excited to bring on TrackMan as a partner in our world leading National Education Program,” stated Gary Bernard, Executive Director of the Canadian PGA. “TrackMan technology has conceptually changed the way Canadian PGA Professionals and their clients play, practice, and get fitted for equipment. By integrating their database of information into our curriculum we significantly enhance our program.”
The Canadian PGA National Education Program is recognized by Sport Canada and, along with 65 other sports, is part of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). The certification program has been developed for all levels of participation within the sport of golf, ranging from beginners to elite tour players. Through this recognition all Canadian PGA members who participate in the training and certification program now have access to the tremendous body of world-class research available through the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) as well as the prestige that goes along with being certified by one of the most highly respected associations in instruction and coach education in the world.
