Job Summary

As a Teaching Professional with the National Golf Academy, you will be part of our team consisting of eight PGA Teaching Professionals providing golf instruction for both the National Golf Academy and the City of Calgary Golf Course operations.We offer a variety of programs for juniors, adults, and families, along with specialized programs for individuals with disabilities, including autism, dementia, cerebral palsy, and more. Our philosophy, “Casual Golf / Serious Fun,” is at the core of all our programs.

Locations: Lessons will take place at Shaganappi, Confederation Park, McCall Lake, and the NGA Dome, primarily in a group instruction setting.

Responsibilities
  • Admin responsibilities relating to Instruction
  • Follow NGA outlines for instruction
  • Group Instruction for all programs offered by NGA
  • Private and Semi-Private instruction
  • Short game lessons
  • Playing lessons
  • Equipment sales and club repairs as required
Qualifications
  • A current police check is required.
  • A valid first aid certification will be necessary to attain.
  • Training will be provided for all instruction and specialized programming.
  • Skills & Experience: Strong interpersonal skills and prior teaching experience
Compensation
Salary: $5,000 – $7,500+ per month, based on experience and qualifications.

Employment Duration

Seasonal position (Effective April – August 31st), with potential for a year-round opportunity.

Availability: Primarily weekends and evenings, with some daytime availability.
