Thunderbird is operated with the philosophy that your time is valuable! Our nine-hole golf course is open until 10 p.m. on selected nights, depending on scheduling so you can play under the lights at a time that fits your schedule (the ONLY golf course in Ontario to do so).
Ottawa’s only fully lighted course, offering extended play beyond the regular hours of any other course in the city. An immaculately maintained course, the family-friendly lay out accommodates a full range of players.

TMSI Camps (Thunderbird Sports Centre) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Golf Professional to lead our Junior Golf Camp this summer. This position is ideal for a passionate coach who enjoys working with young athletes and wants to help junior golfers develop their skills in a fun, structured, and professional environment.
As a Junior Golf Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, organizing engaging drills and activities, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere that promotes skill development, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.
- Responsibilities

- Lead daily golf instruction and coaching sessions for junior golfers of varying skill levels (ages 6-15)
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans focusing on fundamentals, course strategy, and mental aspects of the game.
- Provide hands-on coaching in driving, putting, chipping, and overall swing mechanics.
- Organize and oversee skills challenges, on-course play, and friendly competitions.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all campers.
- Motivate and inspire young golfers to build confidence and develop a passion for the sport.
- Work collaboratively with camp counsellors and staff to ensure a seamless camp experience.
- Assist in camp logistics, including equipment setup, scheduling, and communication with parents.
- Qualifications

- PGA of Canada Professional or equivalent golf coaching certification preferred.
- Experience coaching junior golfers in a camp, academy, or instructional setting.
- Strong knowledge of golf fundamentals, rules, etiquette, and player development strategies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young athletes.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings and afternoons.
- Passion for golf and youth development.
