Job Summary
Reporting to and working closely with the Executive Director (ED) of the PGA du Québec (PGAQ), the Senior Coordinator, Member Services & Communications responsibilities will be to assist any French speaking member of the PGA of Canada (PGAC) and guide them throughout the beginning stages of their career as a pro and help them with future endeavors in their line of work. The successful candidate will help the PGAQ/PGAC develop strategies so that the informational pathway of the member is at its simplest. The candidate will also have the responsibility to manage all communications of the association whether it’s through social media or press releases.
Responsibilities

Member Services & Education:

  • Assist all Apprentices of the PGAQ (and any PGAC members needing assistance in French) with their pathway through the PGA Training Academy, PGAC regulations concerning dues, deadlines, awards;
  • Coordinate job postings for the PGAQ;
  • Coordinate all of the education sessions offered to the PGAQ members;
  • Help with the awards ceremony program;
  • Help the PGA of Canada with their French website and documentation;
  • Assist the ED with the PGA of Québec’s website;
  • Work closely with all other golf associations in the province of Québec.

Communications & Translation:

  • Manage all the social media channels of the PGAQ;
  • Plan, schedule and execute social media strategy of the PGAQ;
  • Assist the ED with any communication from the PGAQ;
  • Support and promote all programs and communications of the PGAC;
  • Assist the PGAC with any translation (documents, emails, education modules, social media posts, etc.).

Competitions:

  • Assist the ED with onsite competition operations;
  • Attend all PGAQ events;
  • Assist the ED with partner relations on the competition site;
  • Assist the PGAC when they have events in the PGAQ territory.
Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing/Communications;
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Marketing/Communications;
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills;
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service;
  • A strategic thinker with a collaborative style;
  • Golf industry knowledge or the ability/willingness to quickly learn the industry;
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills (French & English);
  • PGA member is an asset;
  • Knowing the system CANVA is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365;
  • Independent, able to work from home;
  • Ability to respect short deadlines.

The chosen individual will receive training in PGA of Canada Training Academy curriculum, regulations, and general PGAQ/PGAC rules, regulations, software/tools, and procedures.

Compensation
  • Base salary between $50,000 to $55,000 based on experience;

  • Working from home for most of the time;
  • Working schedule varies according to the season;
  • 2 weeks of vacation per year;
