- Job Summary
- The Retail Manager is responsible for managing all retail operations within the Pro Shop, ensuring a seamless and exceptional shopping experience for members and guests. This role oversees purchasing, inventory management, receiving, pricing, merchandising, and sales strategies to maximize revenue and enhance member satisfaction.
- Responsibilities

- Retail Management
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies aligned with member preferences and industry trends.
- Oversee the selection, purchasing, and pricing of retail inventory, ensuring a diverse and appealing product mix.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability, fiscal responsibility, and coordinate regular inventory counts.
- Create and maintain visually appealing displays that enhance the shopping experience and promote sales.
- Analyze sales data to identify bestsellers and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
- Member Engagement:
- Provide personalized shopping assistance to members, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Actively seek member feedback to identify product preferences and improve offerings.
- Organize special retail events, promotions, and sales to engage members and drive revenue.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and supervise Pro Shop staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.
- Develop training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about products and provide exceptional service.
- Collaborate with the Associate Professionals to optimize staffing levels to drive sales, and support the merchandizing program.
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage the Pro Shop’s retail budget, ensuring alignment with club goals.
- Track and report key performance indicators, including sales, profit margins, and inventory turnover.
- Collaborate with the Director of Golf to establish revenue targets and develop strategies to achieve them.

- Proven experience in retail management, preferably within a golf or luxury environment.
- Strong knowledge of merchandising principles and retail operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
- Creative merchandising skills with an eye for detail and trends.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and trends.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual merchandising.
- Golf knowledge and experience are strong assets.
- Compensation
- Annual Salary of 60K+ with the opportunity to earn more based on performance, to be discussed.
