Windermere Golf & Country Club is actively searching for a Retail Manager. Candidates must be motivated to oversee the management and performance of all golf operations retail and related service offerings to provide a best-in-class retail experience in line with a top tier private club.

Position Overview:
The Retail Manager reports directly to the Head Golf Professional. The Retail Manager is expected to take ownership of the golf shop retail operation and ensure that we continue to exceed the expectation of our members and their guests.
The Retain Manager must be a direct communicator and have a natural style of “sincere engagement” with members and your fellow #TeamWindy staff members. They must possess a passion for retail, drive to offer premier service matched with strong business acumen. Innovation, collaboration, communication, and drive to exceed the expectation are all necessary attributes for the position.

- Responsibilities

- Deliver a best-in-class retail experience for both members and guests
- Oversee an innovative approach to all elements of retail operations and service
- Develop a buying plan for merchandise based on the needs of membership
- Coordinate and schedule promotions with the Communications Coordinator
- Build and manage an annual retail sales calendar with innovative promotions
- Manage all aspects of the golf shop inventory including buying, special orders and inventory counts
- Work with the Head Golf Professional to build and enhance the corporate merchandise offerings
- Create and rotate all golf shop displays to ensure they are visually appealing and practical
- Support member events that exceed expectations and in line with offerings at a top tier private club
- Develop, grow and embrace our #TeamWindy work culture
- Presence on the golf shop floor and support of fellow golf shop staff in day-to-day operations
- Work with Head Golf Professional to develop an annual retail budget

Candidate Qualifications:
- Experience in a high-end retail environment that strives to exceed expectations
- Desire to be highly visual and engage with both members and fellow #TeamWindy staff daily
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An innovative approach to retail operations and ability to think creatively
- Passion and genuine enthusiasm for the game of golf and golf industry is considered an asset
- A keen observer with the ability to see and understand the finer details
- Inventory management skills and forecasting (zero-based budgeting)
- Compensation

- Base salary of $55,000
- Incentive Potential – Based on sales targets and agreed upon KPI
