Founded in 1921, Brampton Golf Club (BGC) boasts a proud history that spans over a century. Located in the heart of Brampton, Ontario, BGC is a community-focused, member-friendly golf course that offers an enjoyable and welcoming atmosphere.

BGC's 18 hole championship-caliber course provides the backdrop for countless memorable golf moments. We are honored to have been named the 2023 Club of the Year by the Club Management Association of Canada (CMAC), solidifying our reputation as one of the top elite clubs in the country.

Over the years, BGC has played host to numerous provincial and national championships, welcoming both amateur and professional players. In 2023, BGC proudly hosted the prestigious World Junior Girls Championship, showcasing our ability to attract and host world-class events. As we look to the future, we are committed to continuing our tradition of hosting prestigious tournaments that will be enjoyed by both our members and the wider golfing community.

Our active golfing community, with a bustling tee sheet, offers a friendly and inclusive environment for all golf enthusiasts. With 34-member golf events and a variety of outside tournaments, there is always excitement in the air.

Job Summary
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Member Relations and Sales Coordinator is responsible for driving membership growth, maintaining strong relationships with existing members, and enhancing the overall member experience. This role involves proactive sales efforts, marketing initiatives, and personalized member engagement to ensure satisfaction and retention. The individual in this role serves as the primary point of contact for prospective and new members, addressing inquiries, organizing events, and fostering a welcoming club atmosphere.
Responsibilities

Membership Sales & Recruitment:

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct tours and presentations for prospective members, showcasing club amenities and benefits.
  • Maintain and update a database of leads, following up promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create promotional materials and campaigns for membership sales.
  • Establish partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to generate leads.

Member Relations & Retention:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for members, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute member engagement initiatives to enhance their club experience.
  • Regularly communicate with members through newsletters, emails, and social media updates.
  • Manage onboarding programs for new members, ensuring a smooth transition into the club.
  • Organize and host member appreciation events to strengthen relationships and loyalty.

Events & Programming:

  • Assist in planning and executing club events, tournaments, and social activities.
  • Work closely with the events team to create opportunities for member networking and engagement.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless event logistics and member participation.

Administrative & Reporting Duties:

  • Maintain accurate membership records and sales reports.
  • Track membership trends and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on membership growth, retention rates, and sales activities.
  • Assist in budget planning related to membership and marketing initiatives.

Collaboration & Teamwork:

  • Work closely with the General Manager and department heads to align member services with overall club goals.
  • Liaise with golf, food & beverage, and events teams to enhance the member experience.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in membership sales and engagement.
Qualifications
  • Strong sales and customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality or private club industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups of members.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and social media marketing.
  • A passion for golf and an understanding of private club culture is an asset.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Compensation
Base Annual Salary Range: $46K-$53K, plus commission on membership sales.
