- Responsibilities

- Position reports to General Manager.
- Oversee all facets of the Golf Shop, Golf Operations, and Golf Tournaments.
- Continuously strive for operational improvement, ensuring the delivery of the highest level of service to employees and guests.
- Review and potentially revise Golf Operation policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for Golf Operations.
- Develop and manage the annual golf operation budget..
- Ensure the golf operation aligns with all club financial guidelines, encompassing purchasing, inventory management, payroll, and fee schedules.
- Participate in monthly (P&L) statements for golf operations, offering explanations on variances and providing insightful forecasting.
- Gather comprehensive data on rounds, inventory, sales, cost of goods sold, labour, profit/loss analysis, and margin evaluations, submitting reports as requested.
- Oversee the purchasing, sales, and merchandising of all golf shop hard and soft goods.
- Ensure accurate monthly inventory counts are conducted and maintained.
- Plan and execute golf tournaments.
- Oversee ordering and returning staff uniform pieces.
- Attend trade shows and engage in partner programs to stay informed and up to date on current trends and products in the industry.
- Recruit, train, and mentor Golf Operations employees to deliver exceptional guest service.
- Supervise and manage the scheduling of all golf department employees.
- Implement changes to working practices when necessary, ensuring safety and compliance with legislation.
- Stay current with golf technology, pursue continuous education through the PGA of Canada
- Qualifications

- A minimum of 3 years' experience in similar role.
- In good standing with PGA of Canada.
- Proficient in software applications, Microsoft, and POS (Club Prophet is an asset)
- A minimum of 1 year experience managing retail sales operation.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
