Bushwood Golf Club is conveniently located 30 minutes North of Toronto in northeast Markham, three miles south of Stouffville. At Bushwood, we provide an entertaining golf experience for every level of golfer and occasion. We have two very unique courses for golfers to enjoy; an 18 hole Championship course par 72 and a 9 hole Executive course par 30, grass tee driving range and short-game practice area.

- Job Summary
- The Assistant General Manager reporting to the owner, will oversee the performance of all Golf Shop/Food and Beverage operations and ultimately be responsible for performance standards and customer satisfaction within the club. The position will promote an exceptional “golf experience” and provide excellent services and programs for all customers
- Responsibilities
-
- A demonstrated ability to own and manage all aspects of the proshop, restaurant and clubhouse operations
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule and motivate Food and Beverage, Proshop and outdoor golfer services staff.
- Proven leadership, management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely within the Management Team
- Computer literate and responsible for helping with the creative and updating of the Golf section in social media and club section of the Bushwood Golf Club website
- Organize and oversee annual golf event programs including participation in the internal marketing and administration of the events and programs
- Learn, train employees and execute all employees in the POS software (Lightspeed).
- Monitor and identify revenue opportunities in the tee sheets. Be proactive and work with the Revenue Manager to optimize tee sheet revenues from all golf sources
- Ability to implement, enforce and maintain all policies, programs and plans as established by the owner, with a strong focus on promoting a safe work environment.
- Participation in monthly JHSC meetings is a must.
- Attend and participate in all necessary Department meetings
- Ability to market, schedule and manage any external competitions and events
- Maintain and promote a well-respected and professional image within the Club, the industry and community
- Qualifications
- 5 years experience in Leadership and a minimum of 3 years experience in the golf industry
- Compensation
- $25 per hour, with flexibility to adjust based on relevant experience and qualifications.
