Head Professional/Golf Operations Manager: Southside Golf Course

Southside Golf Course is a public 18-hole executive style facility with a thriving driving range and practice greens, located in Grande Pointe, Manitoba (south of Winnipeg). Opened in 2000, “SSGC” provides a unique golfing experience for all ages and skill levels. A fully licensed clubhouse and patio offers food and beverage options daily, and for group and tournament events.

Job Summary
This position requires provision of excellent customer service. The individual will provide a culture where staff are motivated and enthusiastic about meeting the needs of members, public players and corporate customers. Customer Service must be at the forefront of all decisions to ensure a great experience at Southside Golf Course.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire and train all golf operations staff in all day-to-day operations (Golf Shop and Back Shop)
  • Organize Starters & Marshals
  • Manage tee sheet to maximize rounds of golf
  • Control and manage play
  • Ensure policies and procedures are being followed by staff to ensure a positive golf experience
  • Assist with implementing outside events
  • Coordinate weekly League programs, tournaments, and club events
  • Merchandising - Ensure golf shop is adequately stocked
  • Manage registration & inquiries for all lessons, clinics or camps
  • Daily Golf Cart Management
  • Handle all inquiries/concerns related to the golf operation in a timely manner
Qualifications
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Previous experience in golf management
  • Supervisory/Management experience in golf industry and event management
  • Education related to position (Professional Golf Management/Sport Management etc.)
  • PGA of Canada Member – Considered an asset, but not required
Compensation

Salary – $6000-$7000 monthly, based on experience and term of contract

Lessons: 90% revenue
