Head Professional: Sandpiper Resort
The resort, previously known as Pretty Estates Resort, was renamed Sandpiper Resort in April 2016. It is now home to Rowena’s Inn on the River, Sandpiper Golf Course, and the River’s Edge Clubhouse. We are consistently evolving and always working towards expanding our property and also our guest amenities. The golf course is one of a kind and is known to be home to upwards of 4000 bald eagles in the months of October & November. Nestled along the Harrison River with the golf course making its way through the forest of towering spruce trees, you are truly in for a treat when you enter through the main gates of Sandpiper Resort.

- Job Summary
- Sandpiper Resort is looking for the "right fit" as our next Head Professional. The preferred candidate will be the face of the operation and will have an understanding of resort operations. Our focus is on exceeding the expectations of our members and daily users, and doing everything we can to showcase our beautiful property.
- Responsibilities

- The Head Professional whilst reporting to the General Manager will be solely responsible for the leadership and success of the golf operations department.
- Key member of the senior leadership team.
- Lead the golf operations team with a focus on the customer experience, retail operations, and the financial performance of the department.
- Be involved as a mentor for the younger staff and lend a hand with their development.
- Main point of contact for all club events, corporate events, and other outside events.
- Oversee the training and implementation of polices and procedures.
- Working with the General Manager, creating and executing annual operating and capital budgets.
- Consistently monitoring rounds played, and measure results against past years to understand trends and areas for opportunity.
- Be the champion of a safe and inclusive work environment.
- Qualifications

- Class “A” Golf Professional with the PGA of Canada and member in good standing.
- Experience in the role of Head Golf Professional or Associate Golf Professional, preference given to those with resort background.
- Willingness to deliver a memorable experience to members and daily users.
- Strong leader, who understands how to bring a team together and work towards achieving a common goal.
- Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.
- A strong business acumen is required to manage/operate annual operating and capital budgets and pro shop retail operations.

- $70,000 - $80,000 Performance based bonus
