Lakepoint Golf and Country Club is located on the shores of Charlie Lake, minutes from Fort St. John. We were established in 1958 as a 9-hole golf course and have evolved throughout the years into Northern BC’s Best. In 1974 we hired Norman Woods to design our second nine, and redesign the existing one. He has left a very fun and memorable tree lined layout, in a beautiful setting with great views.

- Lakepoint Golf and Country Club, nestled in the scenic beauty of Charlie Lake, BC, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Professional to lead our golf operations. As the Head Professional, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our golf program, ensuring exceptional service for our members and guests, and contributing to the overall success of our club.
- Responsibilities

- Golf Operations Management: Oversee daily golf operations, including tee time management, course setup, and maintenance coordination with the grounds team.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise golf staff, including assistant professionals and teaching staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Member and Guest Relations: Provide exceptional service to members and guests, addressing their needs and enhancing their overall experience at the club.
- Instruction and Clinics: Offer high-quality individual and group lessons, develop and implement instructional programs, and conduct clinics for various skill levels.
- Event Management: Plan and execute golf tournaments, events, and outings, ensuring seamless coordination and a high standard of execution.
- Pro Shop Operations: Manage the golf shop inventory, oversee merchandise selection, and ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
- Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement strategies to promote the golf program, attract new members, and enhance the club's visibility within the community.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the golf department budget, including forecasting revenue and controlling expenses.
- Qualifications

- Experience: Proven experience as a Head Professional or similar role in a golf club or resort setting. Experience in managing staff and operations is essential.
- Certification: PGA or CPGA certification is highly preferred. Other relevant certifications or qualifications will be considered.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for members and guests.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of golf swing mechanics, course management, and current trends in the golf industry.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Compensation
- $6500 - $7900 per month
