- Job Summary
- The Head Golf Professional is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the golf operation, instructional programs, member and guest services and tournament operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is instrumental in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment while promoting the game of golf to all skill levels. This is a unique opportunity to join one of British Columbia's most celebrated golf courses and contribute to its continued growth and success.
- Responsibilities

- Leadership & Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of golf professionals, shop staff and outside services to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Golf Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the golf shop, including inventory management, merchandising and sales.
- Instructional Programs: Develop and deliver innovative instructional programs for members and guests, including clinics, private lessons and junior golf initiatives.
- Tournament & Event Coordination: Plan and execute club tournaments, corporate events and special golf programs in collaboration with the Events team.
- Member Engagement: Foster strong relationships with members, responding to inquiries, feedback and opportunities for enhanced services.
- Budget & Financial Oversight: Manage golf operations budgets, revenue targets and expense controls to maximize profitability.
- Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote instructional programs, tournaments and merchandise sales.
- PGA Membership Compliance: Maintain active membership with the PGA of Canada, upholding professional standards and continuing education requirements.
- Qualifications

- PGA of Canada Class "A" Professional in good standing.
- Proven leadership experience in golf operations, with a strong customer service focus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of golf-specific software and POS systems (e.g., Golf Genius).
- Strong understanding of merchandising and inventory management principles.
- Experience coordinating tournaments and corporate events.
- Passion for the game of golf and a commitment to growing participation.
- Compensation
- Competitive salary ($75,000 to $85,000 based on experience) and performance-based incentives.
