Our mature, traditional course with 143 acres of park-like setting, undulating fairways and rock outcroppings make you forget you are in a PRIME LOCATION in the middle of British Columbia's capital city.

Our golf course will entice the most accomplished golfers, yet with six sets of tees from 4,400 to 6800 yards, GV's AWESOME GOLF can be both challenging and fun.
We have a PROUD TRADITION. GV is a heritage course, designed by AV Macan in 1927 to showcase West Coast golf as it was meant to be....a walk in a secluded park filled with undulating fairways, rock outcroppings, and trees which are centuries old. We've built on our classic links design with modern greens and water features.

The Gorge Vale Golf Club is seeking a motivated individual as the club’s next Head Golf Professional.
Located just minutes from downtown Victoria, Gorge Vale Golf Club is a private golf club rich in history and tradition while adapting to modernizing the private golf club experience.
Qualified candidates are expected to bring enthusiasm to achieving the club’s service goals while maintaining a strong business acumen.
The next Head Golf Professional will be an active contributor to the course’s long term improvement. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Head Golf Professional’s duties include but aren’t limited to:
- Responsibilities

- Manage all golf operations
- Promoting a welcoming and respectable image within the club and community
- Ensuring all golf operations member experiences exceed expectations
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the tee sheet, website, and POS
- Manage a team of professionals and support staff
- Provide General Manager with budgets and forecasts for the golf operations
- Continually improve the service standards
- Market and build strong instructional programs
- Ensuing the enforcement of all golf related club by-laws and policies
- Manage all aspects to golf events and leagues
- Coordinate purchasing and sale of golf shop merchandise to remain profitable
- Oversee all golf instructional programs
- Assist in the publication of newsletters and promotional materials
- Qualifications

- Class A PGA of Canada professional in good standing
- Relevant education and experience is considered an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher
- Skills with Jonas, Golf Genius, and TrackMan are assets
- Strong business sense and a desire to sell
- An inherit drive for excellence
