Head Golf Professional: - D'Arcy Ranch Golf Club

Considered one of the premier Golf Clubs in Alberta, D’Arcy Ranch Golf Club opened in 1991 and is located within the D’Arcy Ranch community of Okotoks just 15 minutes south of Calgary. We are an 18-hole championship public facility where everyone can expect to experience a day of golf and be treated like members of a private club. The Club's facility is a 14,000-square-foot clubhouse which includes the golf pro shop, as well as our restaurant Jerry’s which offers indoor and outdoor dining overlooking outstanding views of the rolling foothills and Rocky Mountains.

At D’Arcy Ranch Golf Club, our team members work together to preserve and protect natural resources and to provide outdoor recreation and education to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations. In January of 2013 D’Arcy Ranch achieved designation as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. D'Arcy Ranch Golf Club became the 17th golf course in Alberta and the 1006th golf course in the world to have achieved this designation.

Job Summary
D’Arcy Ranch Golf Club is now accepting applications for a Head Golf Professional. This is a permanent, year-round, full-time position that requires working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. 
Responsibilities

• Working with the General Manager on the development and preparation of budgets, including forecasting and review of all golf operations revenues and expenses on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

• The hiring, training, development, scheduling and supervising of all Pro Shop staff, Back Shop staff, and Marshals.

• Administer our tee-time booking system and maximize tee sheet utilization.

• Provide golf lessons as requested.

• Organize operations of leagues, clinics, and other programs.

• Organize and promote junior program/junior camps.

• Maintain inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders.

• Administer golf cart fleet operations, practice facility, and club storage service.

• Manage all opening and closing procedures with the POS operation.

• Maintain the aesthetics of the pro shop merchandise and display creations.

• Enforce all club policies and regulations.

• Oversee management of club tournaments and group play operations in conjunction with our Tournament/Events Coordinator

• Oversee management of outside service staff to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved.

• Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations.

• Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community.

• Responsible for the financial and operational performance of the golf shop operations and golf services

• Ensure all financial goals and objectives are achieved.

• Ensure system controls are in place to safeguard assets, revenues, and resources.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Maintain an active Class A PGA of Canada member in good standing.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in golf services.

• Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations

• Experienced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Excel. Proficient in other applications, e.g., email, internet, tournament, database & POS. Experience with TeeOn Software and Golf Genius considered an asset.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license

Compensation

D’Arcy Ranch Golf Club has an attractive compensation and benefits plan along with a great work environment.

• This is a year-round position.

• Salary ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 per year.

• PGA of Canada dues paid upon successful completion of season.

• Performance based bonuses.

• 90% of lesson revenue over and above salary.
