- Job Summary
- Westmount Golf & Country Club is looking for an energetic, passionate, and member-focused individual to join our talented professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering best-in-class member and guest experiences regarding daily operations, golf events, lesson programs, and retail sales programs. The Associate Professional would report directly to the Director of Golf and would be a key member of the professional team.
- Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Deliver best-in-class member and guest experiences throughout all golf operations
- Work closely with the Director of Golf in all aspects of the golf operation.
- Provide positive coaching and mentorship to fellow PGA Assistant Professionals.
- Co-Management of golf services team, with bag storage, cart and bag staging, cart and club cleaning, and other services
- League Co-Management
- Enforce club rules and policies when applicable
- Minor club repairs
- Help resolve Member and Guest issues as they arise
- Prepare and execute tournaments and events of all sizes and formats
- Sell merchandise and process transactions in the golf shop accurately
- Check-in players for their scheduled tee times in regard to green fees, cart charges, and other fees accurately and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized Pro Shop
- Special order merchandise for members
- Play and represent Westmount G&CC in professional competitions
- Assist on inventory controls, checking-in merchandise in accordance with procedures, organization of storage and display areas, inventory, etc.
- Provide Golf Instruction and Club Fitting upon request.
- Qualifications
-
- PGA of Canada Class A Member in good standing with three plus years of experience working at a green grass golf shop with a desire to be a PGA Head Professional. Private club experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
- Golf Services Management and budgeting is considered an asset
- Must have a passion for people and service excellence
- Detail-oriented and work with a high degree of accuracy
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Self-motivated and strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Maintains a passion for Golf Instruction
- Jonas POS, ForeTees, Golf Genius, and SmartGolf experience would be considered an asset
- High-level knowledge of the game of golf, and operations
- Compensation
- Salary Starting at $1,150.00 to $1,250.00 paid weekly
