At the present time The Mabel Lake Golf & Country Club is accepting applications for a Golf Shop Associate for the 2024 golf season. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Golf and will assume a leadership role within the golf operation.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

•Arriving on time and in a presentable manner.

•Offering service to members and guests.

•Till and cash handling responsibilities.

•Ensuring that all guests are checked in accurately and accounted for.

•Maintaining control of the first tee and course play.

•Maintain golf shop organization and cleanliness

•Selling merchandise including clothing, accessories, golf equipment, etc.

•Opening/Closing Golf Shop in a timely and effective manner.

•Accurately booking tee times for guests in person and over the phone.

•Effectively communicating with course starters and player assistants.

•Assisting with large groups and tournaments to ensure that guests’ expectations are exceeded.

•Receive delegation from management staff on various tasks on a daily basis

•Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

The role of Golf Shop Associate is an enthusiastic and motivated person who plays a key roll in the golf operation department and enjoys being part of a team.

Golf Shop associates are required to give exceptional service to our member and guests contributing to their ongoing enjoyment of the Mabel Lake Golf & Country Club.

Compensation

• Varies with experience (ie: golf professional)

• Possible opportunity to teach lessons if certified

Employment Duration

Term of Employment – Full Time Seasonal (May to October) with the opportunity for part time shoulder season grounds crew hours.
