Associate/Apprentice Professional: Penticton Golf & Country Club

Nestled in the heart of Penticton, the Penticton Golf & Country Club serves as a lively hub for both locals and tourists alike. Operating from the onset of March until the end of December. Our course has 550 full-play members who regularly play our course. In addition, we have a strong junior program with 160 juniors and public play that adds to our yearly average of more than 50,000 rounds.

Job Summary
Penticton Golf & Country Club is currently in search of an Associate/Apprentice Golf Professional to join our team for the upcoming 2025 season. At PGCC, our road to success is customer service. We don't just serve our customers; we build connections with them, engaging with them on a daily basis to ensure their needs are not only met but exceeded. We believe that the right individual can help us transform our customer service to the next level.
Responsibilities
  • Providing an exceptional level of customer service.
  • Maintaining a well-respected and professional image within the club, the industry, and the community.
  • Assisting and running League Play.
  • Member engagement through teaching and playing.
  • Assisting with Junior Programs and lessons.
  • Running Golf Clinics for all levels.
  • Golf Shop Merchandising and exceeding Golf Shop sales targets
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada Member
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the golf industry
  • Experience with Golf Genius, Tee Sheet/POS systems & Foresight sports is an asset
  • Knowledge of the game of and golf club operations considered an asset
  • Teaching and club fitting experience is beneficial
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Career oriented and dedicated to being a golf professional
  • Efficient and effective time-management while being self-motivated and ability to lead others
  • Collaborating with fellow staff members to ensure we reach our common goal
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks and prioritize member needs
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Compensation

PGCC offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with the experience of the selected candidate.

Hourly Salary: $23-$25
