Our club is a private, member-owned championship facility. Nestled on the banks of the Red Deer River, it has hosted many national and provincial events. The layout is lined with mature trees and its rolling landscape and river views provide exceptional vistas as you weave your way through the golf course. It is not uncommon to see deer, fox or pelicans scanning the river and surrounds. Our course is considered among the finest golf facilities in Canada.

- Job Summary
- Red Deer Golf and Country Club is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in the role of Associate Golf Professional. Reporting directly to the Head Professional, this position offers an exceptional opportunity for long-term growth and success in the golf industry.
- Responsibilities
-
- Help with general shop upkeep, cleanliness, and organization while also assisting with outside customer services and practice area operations as required
- Assist in all areas of Pro Shop service operations including answering telephone inquiries, booking tee times, and checking in customers while providing excellent customer service and sales.
- Organize and assist with all member events and tournaments using Golf Genius Software. This will include interaction face-to-face, over the phone and via email.
- Ensure all communication with group sales and staff is accurate, professional, timely and supports the best interests of the golf course.
- Handle financial transactions and complete cash out procedures.
- Provide a superior level of guest experience and golf course safety to all visitors and staff.
- Provide leadership, guidance and training to other Pro Shop employees.
- Provide golf lessons to members.
- Assist in pace of play monitoring with Tag Marshal.
- Perform additional duties as may arise and as may be assigned.
- Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years in the industry
- PGA of Canada member in good standing
- Knowledge in basic computer skills including POS, Word, Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Leadership skills
- Multitasking ability
- Customer-service oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong attention to detail
- Golf Genius tournament software aptitude
- Compensation

- $50,000-$55,000
- 90% of teaching revenue
