- Job Summary
- This is an opportunity to work at one of Canada’s most unique private golf facilities alongside a very talented team of professionals and managers. A successful candidate will gain experience in a fast- paced environment with the potential for considerable teaching revenue. While assisting in all areas of the golf operation, the associate will provide excellence in customer service. The associate will participate and assist in the hiring and scheduling of the golf operations staff. This individual will participate in all shop buys, attend the International PGA Show as well as Ontario buying shows. There will be an opportunity to teach during the winter months in the club’s winter golf academy.
- Responsibilities

- Responsible for supervising the pro shop desk staff and back shop team
- Management of daily POS functions, tee sheet management, including selling and merchandising of pro shop goods
- Assist the Head Professional at buyer’s shows
- Able to provide excellent product knowledge
- Manage the processing and tracking of inventory
- Team scheduling
- Coordinate and assist in all member events, leagues and corporate events
- Schedule and facilitate member instructional clinics
- Assist with and execute the summer junior camp
- Minor club repair and re-gripping
- Possess strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills as well as a desire to deliver quality service
- Attend regular club supervisor meetings
- Golf with members on a weekly basis
- Qualifications

- PGA of Canada Class A professional in good standing
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must have excellent tournament and league software experience
- Possess strong communication and leadership skills, as well as a desire to deliver quality service
- Proficient computer skills (Word and Excel) – Familiarity with JONAS Software and Smart Golf Software an asset
- A keen desire to grow as a golf professional
- A desire to teach and improve instructional skills
- Must be a dedicated team player
- Compensation
- $23.00 – 26.00/hour, 42 hour work week (negotiated based on experience)
