Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible to supervise and manage golf operations. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all members and guests, which will include, but are not limited to checking in golfers, maintaining control of the tee sheet, organizing tournaments and leagues, overseeing golf operations, and developing strong relationships with members.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operations of the golf facilities, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the pro shop, tee sheet, and other areas of the golf operation.
  • Manage the Golf Operations staff, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight to maintain high service standards.
  • Ensure a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for members and guests always.
  • Check in golfers promptly and accurately, ensuring they have all necessary information before play.
  • Manage all inquiries with professionalism and courteousness, addressing any concerns or requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist members and guests with booking tee times, including offering guidance for online reservations.
  • Accurately ring up charges for guests, including guest fees, cart rentals, merchandise, and any other items.
  • Maintain control of the tee sheet, ensuring appropriate spacing, timing, and booking of tee times.
  • Collect and process all relevant fees (guest, cart, etc.) efficiently and accurately.
  • Help organize and promote club tournaments, special events, and functions.
  • Coordinate with staff and participants to ensure events run smoothly and meet member expectations.
  • Foster relationships with members and guests, making them feel valued and encouraging a friendly environment.
  • Address any member needs or concerns in a timely and professional manner to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure all golf operations meet the club’s standards and operational procedures.
  • Stay informed on best practices and changes in policies to ensure compliance with golf course and club regulations.
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada member in good standing
