Garrison Golf Club is a semi-private facility located in Kingston, Ontario, centrally located approximately 2 1/2 hours from Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.
A thriving golf community, we have 500 members who account for 80% of our daily play. Our club offers a full assortment of member leagues and tournaments while providing recreational services to the military community of CFB Kingston and RMC, and also accept outside (civilian) play.
Founded in 1971, the nine hole course was expanded to 18 holes by Tom McBroom in 1985.

- Job Summary
- The successful candidate will assist the Head Professional in the day-to-day operation of the golf shop. A hands on approach, willing to help in any area of the operation while working along seasonal full-time and part-time staff. The successful applicant will be integrated into an established teaching program which includes a large introductory program for children in the military community, in addition to an established open-access clinic schedule and the opportunity to develop a private lesson clientele. This is a golf shop oriented position, with the applicant expected to spend considerable time at the counter and within the golf shop. As a professional owned golf shop, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to become involved in the business side of the operation, including hiring and supervision of seasonal staff, payroll, HR, buying and merchandising. The facility is fully integrated online and the successful candidate will have the opportunity of learning the back-end operation and setup of POS systems and Golf Genius.
- Responsibilities

- Assist the Head Professional in the day-to-day running of the golf shop.
- Opening and closing of the golf shop.
- Supervision of seasonal golf shop and outside services staff (club storage, carts and range).
- Tournament registration, preparation and operation.
- Retail sales and fitting days.
- Assisting the Head Professional in the Junior development program.
- Weekly league operations, setup and scoring.
- Manage the golf shop operation in the absence of the Head Professional.
- Scheduling of outside service staff.
- Qualifications

- PGA of Canada member in good standing.
- Personable with great communicating skills
- Required teaching credentials.
- Knowledge of Golf Genius and GGGolf would be an asset.
- Standard First Aid/CPR certification (required).
- Clean CPIC (background check).
