Position Objective:
- To support the Head Golf Professional in the proficient operation of the Golf Department including customer service, retail sales, tee sheet management and team supervision.
- Provide exceptional experienced golf instruction.
- Responsibilities
-
- Ensuring tee times are booked and checked in accurately
- Provide lessons to adult and junior golfers
- Managing the Junior Golf Program
- Host our Tuesday Ladies Night
- Assist in keeping the Golf Shop tidy, merchandised, and set to sell
- Sell golf related merchandise including balls, shoes, clothing, accessories, equipment, etc.
- Opening/closing Golf Shop and cashing out in a timely and accurate fashion
- Acting as “Manager on Duty” when required
- Attending to guest requests and complaints as required
- Supervision of Guest Services team to ensure efficient use of labour and guest satisfaction
- Working cooperatively with other team members in all departments
- Assisting with large groups and tournaments to ensure that guests’ expectations are exceeded
- Arriving on time reliably and in a presentable manner
- Perform other duties and tasks as required by the Golf Shop Manager and General Manager
- Qualifications

- PGA of Canada Apprentice or Class A preferred
- Minimum 1 season experience as a golf instructor
- Problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Familiarity with Golf POS Software, and Microsoft Office programs an asset
- High level of organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Quick evaluation and decision-making abilities
- Strong comprehension of English Language (oral and written)
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Energetic and motivated to succeed within the Golf environment
- Ability to work in an unsupervised environment
Work Characteristics:
- May require some light lifting
- Mostly indoor work with some outdoor work required
- Will be required to work on a shift basis, including weekends, evenings and holidays when necessary
- Compensation

- $24.00 - $27.00 per hour based on experience
- 80% of teaching revenue
