Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community, the 2020 PGA of BC Facility of the Year, located in beautiful Comox Valley, BC, is an 18-hole Graham Cooke designed championship course with a 48, 000 square foot clubhouse, restaurant, and on-site accommodations. Job Summary
The successful candidate will join the team for the 2025 season as a key member of the professional staff. A key contributor to facilitating the member experience on a day-to-day basis, the candidate will have the opportunity to help lead several facets of the golf operation, including member events, golf shop sales, and aid with a robust instructional program. The professional will be allowed a balanced schedule, be encouraged to have a good work life balance, build a lesson clientele, help with our existing teaching programming, and participate within the association. The opportunity to grow within the company, and mentor beside one of the best and most experienced professional teams in BC.
Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all members and guests
  • Ensure the policies and procedures of the resort are enforced in a positive and professional manner
  • Facilitate a diversified schedule of golf events utilizing Golf Genius, including leading a booming Men’s Night program
  • Teach in a variety of settings, opportunity to facilitate adult and junior programming
  • Perform club fittings and teach a variety of skill levels in different settings
  • Effectively communicate with team members and other departments
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada member in good standing
  • Proven experience in member services, sales and organizational skills
  • Collaborative Team Player
  • Outstanding guest services skills – adaptable, responsible, and reliable
  • Proficient instructor and club fitter, passionate about the game, proper understanding of the member/guest
  • Active participant in the association, including tournaments and education events
  • Competent with computers, including Microsoft Excel, Word and basic POS systems
  • Experience with Lightspeed & Golf Genius an asset
Compensation
  • $22 - $24 per hour, March through October
  • Possibility of year-round employment
  • 80% of teaching revenue
