Cordova Bay Golf Course is an 18-hole daily fee golf course. The facility also includes The Ridge, a 9-hole par 3 golf course, PARC short game practice facility, Bill Mattick’s Restaurant, a driving range with Top Tracer, pro shop and instructional program. Throughout the organization we are committed to continuous improvement, delivering an outstanding customer experience and having a heck of a good time while doing so. The responsibility for delivering on this mission lies with every single person on staff. Some days that means helping out other team members with their jobs, sometimes it means fixing a customer’s flat tire or launching a rescue mission to get a pull cart out of a pond, it can mean singing happy birthday when a customer walks into the pro shop, it always means picking up litter on the property. Job Summary

We are looking for a PGA of Canada professional who has a passion for people and golf. As an instructor, the applicant will be familiar with path, face angle, ground force, trajectory and key coaching terminology.

In this role, you will assume a lead role in developing and delivering junior golf programs at both our facilities. You will join a team looking for innovative and creative ways to offer instruction that reaches new or casual golfers in a welcoming environment that showcases all of our facilities. PGA professionals all assume a regular role in the weekly pro shop schedule.

Cordova Bay requires a minimum of 3 shifts per week and may vary seasonally based on coaching commitments.

Responsibilities

Pro Shop:

• Deliver an outstanding customer experience.

• You have a great sense of humour.

• You can channel the calm of the Dali Lama when facing down a row of ringing phones, a line up of customers and an email inbox that seems on the verge of self destruction.

• Solid knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Package (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Knowledge Club Prophet (POS System) and Golf Genius is considered an asset

Instruction / Coaching duties will include:

• Adhere to the Coaching standards set out by Cordova Bay Golf Course.

• Club fitting

• Program development

• Foresight GC Quad training

• Group and individual instruction

• Commitment to maintain student database / follow up / service

Ground Force – the thrill of junior golf and the joy in creating future golfers. You recognize you are supporting the development great young people who just happen to play golf.

Trajectory – golf is a something different to everyone and you relish in helping players reach their goals however big or small.

Compensation

Hourly Wage – Pro Shop hours
75% lesson revenue
