Job Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Golf Professional or Apprentice Golf Professional, who will contribute to our customer-service based, family-friendly culture. An ideal candidate will bring a high level of enthusiasm and positivity, fresh and innovative ideas while working in a strong team environment. Reporting to the Head Golf Professional, the Apprentice Professional or PGM Student will assume a leadership role within our golf services team and be involved in many aspects of our day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
  • Retail sales and merchandising, inventory management, product knowledge, record keeping, and administrative duties
  • Assist in execution of all club events, member leagues and corporate events
  • Assist the Head Golf Professional with purchasing for the Professional Shop
  • Attend the annual golf show and meet with sales representatives.
  • Assist in hiring key personnel, as well as implementing and enforcing standard operating procedures
  • Knowledge of the Jonas POS and Foretees tee time management programs will be a definite asset
  • Lead/assist our Junior Golf Program
  • Teaching, private lessons, and clinics
  • Providing first class service to members and guests
  • Club fitting and club repair
  • Playing a reasonable amount of golf with members of all abilities
Qualifications
  • Working towards PGA of Canada membership
  • Working towards College or University Degree
  • Proven excellence in member services, sales and organizational skills
  • Positive, professional attitude and a team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Club fitting and equipment knowledge
  • Knowledge of JONAS Point of sales system, Foretees, trackman and Golf Genius will be considered an asset
Compensation
  • Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000
  • 100% of lesson revenue
