Assistant Professional: Larters at St. Andrews Golf & Country Club
Larters at St. Andrews Golf & Country Club is a semi-private course situated along the infamous Red River in St. Andrews Manitoba. We offer 18 holes of championship golf, complete practice facility (driving range, practice greens and bunkers), clubhouse complete with full restaurant, dining room, meeting rooms and banquet facility. We have a full service pro-shop, and provide golf lessons throughout the golf season and through our winter golf school.

- Job Summary
- The Assistant Professional will provide the members and guests of Larters with first-class service in an organized and professional manner. They will also assist the Head Professional with matters relating to the day to day golf operation to the best of your ability.
- Responsibilities
-
- Assist the Head Golf Professional with event execution
- Responsible for setting up and executing specific member and public events or leagues
- Assist the Head Golf Professional with scheduling of staff
- Assist the Head Professional with various camps and clinics
- Teaching members or guests and take on the role of Junior Golf Coordinator
- Standard Pro Shop responsibilities
- Maintaining a good working relationship within a team atmosphere
- Coordinating the day to ensure it runs smoothly
- Assist with merchandising of inventory, ensuring all suppliers are displayed
- Retail sales of pro shop merchandise
- Responsible for opening and or closing the Pro Shop
- Booking tee times, taking payment and checking in on the players
- Monitoring the pace of play
- Work closely with all members of the golf services team
- Teach lessons and help run the winter golf school
- All other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional
- Qualifications

- Member of the PGA of Canada in good standing
- Committed to working in a fast-paced team environment
- Demonstrate ability to provide a high level of customer service
- Strong Communicator that Possesses a Friendly and Outgoing Personality
- Ability to handle cash and credit and debit transactions
- Professional Appearance and Mannerisms
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Willing and able to work a variety of shifts (early mornings, mid-day, evenings, weekends and holidays)
- Working indoors (Pro Shop) and outdoors (variable weather conditions)
- Ability to be on your feet for the duration of your shift
- Comfortable lifting up to 40lbs
- Compensation
- $40,000-$60,000 annual salary based on experience with opportunity for full year employment.
