Bowen Island Golf Association (BIGA) operates a public golf course located on Bowen Island, BC. A 20 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, the course offers an ideal day trip from Vancouver.

Established in 2006 the course features 9 holes playing 3,000 yards and a brand new short game area (The Acre) and indoor practice facility (TK Performance Center)  complete with Trackman and Foresight technology.   It also features clubhouse facilities with spectacular views of Howe Sound and a delicious lunch and dinner menu.

The club offers its members and the public a family-orientated playing experience inclusive of all ages, skill levels and those looking for a quiet, stress-free playing experience.

About the The Acre & TK Performance Center

  • Opened in September of 2023
  • 4500 sqft short game green with yardages up to 80 yards for teaching

Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Apprentice/Assistant or Teaching Professional willing to split their work week into a combination of teaching and customer service in the TK Performance Centre. The candidate will teach lessons, assist in TK Center operations, help run the jr program and camps, facilitate indoor leagues, corporate events and kids parties among other TK Center functions.
Responsibilities

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Teaching lessons (mainly juniors, beginners and group lessons)
  • Day to day operations of the TK Centre, checking in of customers, ensuring high levels of service
  • Merchandising and general upkeep of the TK Centre Inventory control and management
  • Run indoor leagues
  • Report to the Director of Instruction or General Manager
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and leadership skills
  • Maintain a well-respected and professional image within the club, industry and the community
  • Proficient in all computer programs
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada member in good standing or willingness to become one
  • Excellent communication skills both written and orally
  • Outgoing and energetic personality and willingness to to grow as a professional
  • Working knowledge of Trackman and Foresight an asset
Compensation
$18-22/hour plus lesson revenue (ability to earn 10 to 30 thousand depending on willingness to work)
