Job Summary
The Assistant Golf Professional will oversee and manage golf operations in the absence of the Head Golf Professional. This role requires a commitment to outstanding customer service and ensuring complete satisfaction for all members and guests. Key responsibilities include check-in, cash handling, tee sheet management, tournament organization, supervision of golf operations, and building positive relationships with members and visitors.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and customize weekly teaching programs based on players' skill levels for optimal growth.
  • Deliver efficient, friendly customer service in the pro shop, including check-in and fee handling.
  • Manage the tee sheet and collect fees for guests, carts, and other services.
  • Respond to inquiries, reserve tee times, and assist members with online bookings.
  • Engage with members, guests, and visitors to create a welcoming environment.
  • Prioritize the needs of members and visitors, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting club tournaments and special events.
  • Coordinate with marketing to promote important events and club information.
  • Supervise all external golf operations, including staff.
  • Handle stock control, merchandise registration, inventory, and organization of storage and display areas.
  • Ensure daily tasks meet Club standards.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints promptly, informing supervisors as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current or prospective member of the PGA of Canada.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and empathy.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Calm and professional demeanor, especially in a busy team environment.
  • Positive, proactive, and goal-oriented attitude.
  • Leadership and effective listening skills.
  • Ability to multitask and provide attentive customer service.
  • Keen attention to detail and product knowledge.
  • Willingness to continuously improve.
Compensation
  • Weekly salary, minimum 40 hours
  • $30,000 for 30 weeks
  • 100% of teaching income
