The Vancouver Golf Club is excited to share a unique and rewarding opportunity for an Assistant Golf Professional to join the Vancouver Golf Club professional staff in 2025!
Overview:
- Position: Assistant Golf Professional
- Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal
- Work Location: On-site; The Vancouver Golf Club – 771 Austin Ave, Coquitlam BC.
- Compensation: Annual salary of between $800-$920 weekly + 100% of earned Lesson Revenue.
- Anticipated Start Date: March 1, 2025 (Flexible and will work with the candidate as necessary)
- Position Duration: This position will run from March 1 – October 30 each year and renew each Spring. There will be off-season employment of up to 40 hours per week available as well as off-season instruction opportunities.
- Responsibilities

Position Overview:
- Support with the management of retail operations and inventory in the pro shop.
- Collaborate with the Golf Pro Shop team in the planning and execution of all VGC tournaments and events.
- Elevate our member experience by consistently engaging with members on a daily basis. Lead our seasonal service staff on a daily basis by “leading by example”.
- Handling complaints and member concerns in a diplomatic and engaged manner while being responsive to all requests on a daily basis.
- Providing golf instruction for all skill levels, utilizing the latest technologies, and applying programming trends.
- Club fitting and basic club repairs support.
- The Assistant Professional will have daily duties in the pro shop, back shop, driving range and 1st tee depending on the day and time of year.
- Qualifications

Desired Qualifications and Candidate Characteristics:
- Successful candidates must be a PGA of Canada member in good standing.
- Experience in a pro shop or back shop is an asset.
- Experience teaching golf lessons is an asset.
- An engaged golf professional who is driven to offer a high level of member service on a daily basis at the club.
- Charismatic, passionate, enthusiastic, and engaging with people
- Experience with the below software systems is an asset:
- JONAS (point of sales system)
- Golf Genius Tournament software
- Trackman Launch Monitor Radar
- Compensation
- Annual salary of between $800-$920 weekly + 100% of earned Lesson Revenue.
