Job Summary

The Brightwood Golf and Country Club is seeking a career-driven Assistant Golf Professional to join our team.

The successful applicant will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as a desire to deliver consistent exceptional service to our members and guests.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily operations of the Golf Shop, including checking-in players for scheduled tee times, selling merchandise, green fees, golf carts and processing all transactions accurately and effectively.
  • Manage day-to-day operations in absence of the Head Professional.
  • Enforce club rules and policies when applicable, help resolve Member and Guest issues should they arise.
  • Assist with inventory management, processing and tracking in accordance with Club procedures, organization of storage and display areas, inventory, etc.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of the Rules of Golf, the World Handicap System (WHS), equipment, apparel and industry trends.
  • Assist with all tournaments and leagues, which include promoting and planning the execution of the event and post event responsibilities. Serve on golf-related committees as required.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and management of all Golf Operations staff.
  • Play and promote golf with all categories of our membership. Provide high quality lessons, clinics to members and guests.
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada Member in good standing.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated skill and proficiency in teaching and playing ability.
  • Knowledge of Northstar POS, Golf Genius, and Trackman is an asset.
Compensation
  • Starting salary range of $800 - 900 per week, based on experience.
  • Opportunity to teach during the winter months on Club Trackman’s.
