The Derrick Club is looking for an Apprentice Golf Professional for 2024 and beyond.
This is an excellent opportunity for a current or aspiring PGA of Canada Professional that is personable, keen, and passionate to learn and grow by engaging in multiple aspects of the golf business throughout their apprenticeship.
- Responsibilities
-
This includes instructional programs for all ages, retail merchandising and management, equipment fitting, assisting with the day-to day management of play and a variety of events, and contributing to various means of Club communication.
- Qualifications
-
Experience with software programs such as Jonas, Golf Genius, Trackman, and/or Club Unity considered an asset.
Joining the established team at the Derrick Club and working and playing golf with our membership will be a personally and professionally rewarding experience.
- Compensation

Salary and Benefits include:
• Monthly starting salary: $3000-$3200.
• Opportunity for additional earnings within work week via junior golf and recreation camps.
• Flexible schedule to allow for assisting with our increasing demand of adult private and group lessons.
• Clothing, equipment, and PGA of AB education/tournament/event allowance.
• 2024 PGA of Canada dues re-imbursement.
• Monthly meal subsidy and 50% off meals served at the Derrick Club while on shift.
• Use of multiple Derrick Club recreational facilities and locker rooms as available.
• Participation in our annual Assistant Professional Challenge (season ending member bonus program).
