A PGA of Canada member for 41 years, Murray Tucker was the first person in the history of the Association to earn Master Professional status.
While Tucker’s playing resume is impressive—winning a number of provincial championships and the 1971 PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada—it’s his work with the Association where he made his mark. He was Director of the PGA of Canada and the PGA of Ontario for more than 20 years, instituted the PGA of Canada’s pension plan, completed numerous PGA of Canada employment manuals and was named the PGA of Canada Professional of the Year—an award that now bares his name.
